I was lucky to find Grana over a year ago, and from that moment one of the first things that caught my imagination was its combination of cereals and seeds, where its sweet taste comes from Tagatose, which is a sweetner with a flavour similar to sugar but without calories and suitable for diabetics, insulin resistant and those who want to lose weight.

But Grana is not only a rich cereal, its nutritious contribution makes it the best cereal we have today, highlighting its high fiber content, containing twice as much fiber as the cereals available on the market. This is important since the chilean population has a fiber consumption well below the recommended level.

But why is an adequate consumption of fiber so important?

The consumption of foods high in fiber like oats, help improve the lipid profile, decreasing total cholesterol, bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides.

It has also been shown to help prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some cancers, which are some of the leading causes of death in our country.

In addition to the high fiber supply Grana gives us, we cannot fail to mention its high contribution of Omega 3 from seeds, especially Chia. Omega 3 brings great benefits to the health of children and adults, some of the main ones being:

-it helps with the proper development of the nervous system, the brain and the vision of a child during gestation, a great reason for pregnant and young women to consume it.

-prevention of cardiovascular diseases as it helps lower blood cholesterol and prevents the formation of blood clots in the arteries.

-it improves concentration in children and fights attention deficiencies.

As if this were not enough, Grana contains a high concentration of vitamins and minerals, emphasizing Vitamins E and calcium, both fundamental for children and adult health.

No doubt Grana comes to revolutionize the cereals we already knew, delivering a really healthy option for breakfast, snacks or different preparations as it is very versatile, you can even use it in muffins, doughs and more!
